A painting that is the largest ever sold in New Jersey has sold for $9.5 million.
Christians Audigier, a portrait of the Virgin Mary, is on display at Christie’s auction house in Manhattan.
It is a rare piece of art, said the Christie’s director of art sales and auctioning, David Mazzucchelli.
“It is one of the most expensive paintings that we have ever sold.
This is a one of a kind piece of artwork,” he said.
Christies said that the painting was bought by the family of Charles and Elizabeth Audigiers, who bought it from their relatives in the 1960s.
It was one of three works Christie’s sold at auction in the New York area, and was bought in 2010 by the Lutz Family.
It was on display for a few hours at the Christies Art Auction in New Brunswick on Wednesday.
The family has sold the painting at auction to a New Jersey family that bought it in 2010.
The family of the brothers, Charles and Andrew, said in a statement they are thrilled with the sale.
The brothers said the painting has been used in Christian films and TV shows.
It will go on display in the Christian Museum of New Jersey in the city of Newark.
